Technology Leadership

  • Work with leadership to oversee the implementation of complex and interrelated technology programs and platforms enabling new capabilities to be rolled out while balancing operational and availability risks
  • Review, evaluate and inform appropriate areas of emerging technologies and potential use for increased user experience
  • Foster a culture of collaboration among the corporate and segment technology teams and business partners, and endeavor to create tools, platforms and capabilities that increase overall productivity through sharing of solutions and leveraging technology among various teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with Service Management and Technical Relationship Management organizations to ensure that customer projects accurately reflect customer requirements and align with forecasted demand
  • Provide continuous improvement recommendations through analysis, process review, metrics reporting and program maturity tracking
  • Assist in the evaluation of new hardware and software solutions to ensure fit with existing frameworks / landscapes and strategic goals

Translating Concepts into Action

  • Work with internal cross-functional teams and external technology partners to prioritize, estimate and complete projects in support of business needs
  • Translate complex functional, technical, and business requirements into solution designs
  • Oversee the development of project business cases and schedules ensuring appropriate controls are in place to monitor and assess changes and impact
  • Communicate status and financial reports to leadership and relevant stakeholders

Consulting, Strategy, and Execution

  • Define strategies and solutions for technology services and operations that align with all business unit goals
  • Develop business application technology strategies and business justifications
  • Work with internal cross-functional teams and external technology partners to prioritize, estimate and complete projects
  • Actively collaborate with technology teams to advance strategies that enhance TWDC technology capabilities and services and align to business priorities, incorporating trends and opportunities
  • Ensure solutions and services leverage Disney’s Enterprise infrastructure, network, architecture and security capabilities and are compliant with all regulatory and policy requirements
  • Proactively engage with business segment technology leadership, and business partners as needed, to understand their business application technology needs, constraints and drivers and endeavor to deliver solutions that solve their business needs—ideally, that can be cross utilized
  • Partner on all aspects of the technology lifecycle including requirements, product and services management, planning, procurement, installation, support and retirement in conjunction with leadership team
  • Serve as a bridge between business unit executives and technology / system teams to ensure a broad understanding of business-wide objectives and enable disciplined and proactive decisions regarding investments
  • Provide insight and expertise to the design and implementation of technology solutions and process improvements to support current and future strategies, emerging business and functional requirements
